About Bhagavad Gita
Geeta or the Bhagavad Gita is considered as one of the most sacred Hindu scripture. It is a part of the great epic Mahabharata and contains around 700 verses. The content of bhagavad gita is the conversation of Lord Krishna and Prince Arjun just before the great battle of Mahabharat. The main focus of this conversation was Karma (duty) above everything. In bhagavad gita Lord Krishna teaches Arjuna the purpose and goal of human existence. Krishna explains Arjun about his duties as a prince and warrior. In Gita elaboration on different philosophies is done with explanations and examples. It is considered as the most practical, self-contained guide to life.
It is one of the most respected and accepted sacred scripture of hindu devotional or hindus.The bhagavad gita has 18 chapters and around 700 verses, its existence is in chapters 25 to 42 in Mahabharta’s Bhisma Parva. It is considered that these are sayings of Lord Krishna in his own words.

    Where there is Krsna, the Lord of Yogas, and where there is Partha, the wielder of the bow, there are fortune, victory, prosperity and unfailing prudence. Such is my conviction. 18.78
